St. Anthony's in Southern Pines is proud and excited to be home to American Heritage Girls Troop, NC 0121.

AHG NC Camporee 2013

This is the American Heritage Girls Vision: "American Heritage Girls is the premier national organization for young women that embraces Christian values and encourages family involvement." Any girl, ages 5 - 18 can join American Heritage Girls. The only requirement is that she be able to say the AHG Oath: "I promise to love God, Cherish my family, Honor my country and Serve in my community."

Girls of all different backgrounds are welcome in AHG and are encouraged to join at any age. You don't have to start as a Pathfinder (age 5) to gain those AHG benefits or participate in the program. AHG is set up as a multi-level structure. This means that girls from all the different age levels comprise ONE troop and meet together as a single troop on the same night. Age appropriate badgework and certain activities are done within the different levels or units at each meeting. This makes it a wonderful organization for sisters to share in.  Outside of regular meetings the girls can also participate in service projects, fundraisers, religious emblem programs, and outdoor activities.

Our troop is infused with our Catholic faith, but all girls are welcome to join and participate.

Troop NC 0121 meets at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Southern Pines on Scouting Night, held the 1st and 3rd Thursdays from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm. Scouting Night is the time for St. Anthony's AHG Troop and Cub Scout Pack to meet at the same time with a nursery for the pre-scouts. This allows parents to stay and support their children and the scouting community during the meetings.

Come join us!
